Nobody Gave You a Blueprint for This
You’re Doing Well. So Why Won’t the Anxiety Let Up?
Therapy for LGBTQ+ Adults Who Are Ready to Stop Overthinking and Actually Enjoy the Life They’ve Built
You're not falling apart. Your life, by most measures, is going okay.
But your brain doesn't seem to know that.
You lie awake running through scenarios. You second-guess decisions you've already made. You're so busy managing everything — and worrying about losing it — that you can't actually be present for any of it. In social situations, you smile and hold it together, but inside you're still analyzing every word you said.
And there's this low hum underneath everything: What if this doesn't last?
Maybe you grew up watching things fall apart
Maybe stability felt temporary, or love felt conditional, or the adults in your life couldn't quite model what "healthy" looked like.
You figured it out anyway — you built something real. But the worrying didn't stop just because your circumstances changed.
You're not broken. You just never had a blueprint for this.
And let's be honest
Right now, the world isn't exactly making it easier to feel safe.
If you're queer, trans, or BIPOC, some of that anxiety isn't just in your head. It's a reasonable response to an unreasonable moment. You deserve a therapist who gets that — not one who asks you to breathe through it.
You need space to sort out what's real, what's fear, and what's yours to carry — and space to set some of it down.
Hi, I'm Christina (She/Her)
I'm a therapist based in Ferndale, Michigan (just outside of Detroit), working virtually with LGBTQ+ folks from Michigan or Florida— including many who, like me, are navigating what it means to build a life that looks nothing like the one they grew up in.
I work with people whose lives aren't falling apart, but who are exhausted by the constant effort of keeping it together. People who are smart, self-aware, and still somehow can't stop worrying.
My clients don't usually come to me saying "I'm a cycle-breaker." They come saying I can't stop overthinking or I don't know why I'm so anxious when things are fine. We figure out the rest together.
Most of the people I work with come to therapy for one of three reasons:
Anxiety & Overthinking
The worry that won't quit. The decisions you've made three times and still can't trust. The panic that shows up without warning. Let's figure out what's underneath it — and help you get out of your own head.
Cycle Breaking
You didn't have models for how to do this. Healthy relationships, stable households, maintaining success, knowing your own needs — these weren't in the manual you were handed. That's not a character flaw. It's a starting point.
Gender-Affirming Therapy
Whether you're exploring your identity, preparing for transition, or need a letter for surgery — this is a space without pressure or judgment. Clear or still questioning — there's room for you here.
You don't have to keep white-knuckling it.
Therapy isn't just for when everything is falling apart. It's for when you're tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop — and ready to trust yourself a little more.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation– a conversation to see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure to start therapy, it's simply a chance for us to see if working together feels right.
Currently accepting clients in Michigan and Florida. Virtual sessions only.
